I still remember that one summer night,
The moon was bright, the air filled with scattered light.
We sat together and talked to each other,
The evening was deep but we cannot sleep.
It was the month of May, and the weather was gay.
I was stuttering and I don't know what to say.
I can't even look in your eyes,
In my stomach there were butterflies.
You made me laugh with your hiccups,
And I think you need a check-up.
Are those signs of true love?
Cause you sounded like a dove.
The best part was worth contemplating,
When I said it, I admit my heart was pounding,
The promise I have given,
Will never be easily forgotten.
To diligently pray for you,
And keep you in my heart too,
To wait for the right time,
Until I make you the perfect rhyme. ♥♥♥
